It is a premium Shiratama-ko flour made from Japanese sticky rice. Shiratama dumplings are a popular snack with a characteristic soft texture, and you can also make them yourself at home in a very simple way.
* Shiratama-ko is made by polishing sticky rice, washing with water and then watering in a stone grinder (grinding with water) to dry the sediment.
* Watering: mashing the rice with water.
Put the Shiratama-ko in a bowl, mix gradually adding water (100 ml of water per 100 g of product) and knead until the consistency is as soft as an earlobe. Then roll it into small bite-sized balls and boil in hot water for 2-3 minutes. When the dumplings come to the surface, wait another minute, after taking them out, cool them in a bowl with ice water.
You can enjoy this snack by sprinkling it with soy flour or mixing it with sweet red bean sauce.
